Proofsheet is an independent library of hand-written AI prompts for images, video, work and everyday life. Our idea is simple: a prompt is only useful when you can see what it makes.
So every visual prompt comes with a picture of the result, one clean block to copy, and simple fields to make it your own. Chat and work prompts show the shape of the answer you'll get back.
How we make prompts
- Every prompt is written by our editors. We don't copy or scrape other prompt libraries.
- We keep prompts as short as they can be while still giving a reliable result.
- Each prompt lists the AI tools it's written for and what it can't do yet.
- Until a prompt has been tested, its picture is a labelled mood plate. It is replaced by a real result made with that exact prompt.
- We track real festivals, holidays and seasons around the world and check dates before we publish.
What we won't publish
Prompts for fraud, phishing, impersonation, stalking, deceptive deepfakes, sexual content involving anyone without consent, or anything involving minors in a harmful way. Photo prompts assume you have permission to use the photo.
Money
Proofsheet is free to use. In future we may show clearly labelled ads or link to tools we think are useful. Ads will never block the copy button, and any paid link will be marked. See our disclosure page.

Examples come from the prompt itself. Until a prompt is tested, it shows a labelled mood plate, never someone else's image.

No sign-up, no pop-up, nothing in the way. What you copy is only the prompt.
